Deans to speak in public lecture series (Release: 9/5/95)

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Five University of Connecticut deans will speak on topics of general interest in their field in a public lecture series hosted by the University's Stamford campus this fall. The lectures will take place at the Ferguson Library, at the corner of Atlantic and Broad Streets in downtown Stamford, on Friday mornings, from 8 - 9:30 a.m.

Speakers in the "Dean's Dialogue" series are:

  • Robert Gray, dean of fine arts, on "The Future of the Arts in Stamford," Oct. 6.
  • Harold Brody, dean of engineering, on "Connecticut's Critical and Advanced Technology Partnerships," Oct. 13.
  • Mark Abrahamson, acting dean of social work, on "Urban Enclaves in the Contemporary U.S.," Oct. 20.
  • Thomas Gutteridge, dean of business administration, on "Business Education in a Changing Global World," Oct. 27.
  • Charles Case, dean of education, on "Educational Change: Real vs. Hype," Nov. 3.
