U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service official to speak on endangered species (Released: 4/5/96)

STORRS, Conn. -- An official from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service will speak on the Endangered Species Act on Wednesday, April 10.

Susan Hessig, deputy assistant to the regional director of ecological services in Amherst, Mass., will talk about the act, which is up for renewal before Congress this year. The lecture, free and open to the public, is sponsored by the new University of Connecticut chapter of the Wildlife Society.

The lecture will begin at 3:30 p.m. in Room 327 of the W.B. Young Building.
