STORRS, Conn. -- Two events scheduled for next week at the University of Connecticut will evoke memories of the Holocaust as UConn continues to observe Fifty Years After Nuremberg: Human Rights and the Rule of Law.

The 12th Academic Convocation on the Holocaust will take place Monday, April 15, at 3:30 p.m. in the Doris and Simon Konover Auditorium of the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center. In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Nuremberg trials which followed World War II, Bruce Stave, professor of history and head of the UConn Center for Oral History, will interview four people who were involved in the trials.

On Tuesday, April 16, there will be a commemoration of Yom Hashoa, Holocaust Remembrance Day, at 7 p.m., also in the Konover Auditorium. The commemoration, sponsored by the Hillel Foundation, will include a brief service and remarks by Simon Konover of West Hartford, a Holocaust survivor.
