Student scholarship art show at Atrium Gallery (Released: 4/15/96)

STORRS, Conn. -- A sampling of the finest works of art produced by students at the University of Connecticut will be on display April 22 - May 10 at the Atrium Gallery in the Fine Arts Building.
The jured Student Scholarship Show features the best works from students who enter the awards competition. More than $10,000 in awards and scholarships will be given to students in studio art and art history. The show covers the spectrum of art, including paintings, sculpture, ceramics, graphic design and illustrations, prints, photography and mixed media.
An awards ceremony is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. April 29 in the Atrium Gallery.
The show s judges are Christopher Horton, an associate professor of art at the University of Hartford, and Jeff Lin, a designer from the Keiler Design Group in Farmington.
The Atrium Gallery is open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
