8th annual computing research symposium in Cromwell Sept. 4 (Released: 8/23/96)

STORRS, Conn. -- The 8th Annual BRC Computing Research Symposium will be held from 8:30a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the Radisson Cromwell Conference Center in Cromwell.
This year's symposium will examine the recent advances in network-based computing and communications from both academic and industrial perspectives. A keynote address on "The Internet: New Frontier for High Performance Computing," will be presented by Martin Schultz, the Arthur K. Watson Professor of Computer Science from Yale University.
The symposium is being sponsored by the Taylor L. Booth Center for Computer Applications and Research (BRC) and the Critical Technologies Program of Connecticut Innovations, Inc.
