May 21 conference offers tips for serving adults with learning disabilities (Released: 5/15/96)

WATERBURY, Conn. -- Serving adults with learning disabilities is the topic of a one-day workshop May 21 sponsored by The Postsecondary Disability Education Unit of the A.J. Pappanikou Center at the University of Connecticut.
The conference will take place at the Four Points Hotel in Waterbury from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Workshop presenters will describe the problems faced at home and at work by adults with a learning disability, an attention deficit or hyperactivity disorder, and suggest strategies for service providers to meet their needs.
The keynote presentation will discuss the policy implications of the Americans with Disabilities Act for people with learning disabilities.
