June 7 workshop offers multicultural training (Released: 5/16/96)

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Multicultural effectiveness is the focus of a one- day workshop on June 7, sponsored by the University of Connecticut's A.J. Pappanikou Center on Special Education and Rehabilitation.
The workshop, Training in Multicultural Effectiveness, will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. at the Fairfield Public Library.
The workshop will include discussion of the personal skills and organizational changes needed for an effective multicultural society in the 1990s.
The presenter will be Farah Ibrahim, a professor of counseling psychology at the University of Connecticut who has taught and written extensively on multicultural effectiveness.
Pre-registration is required. To register, send a check for $20 payable to the A.J. Pappanikou Center to University of Connecticut, 249 Glenbrook Road, U-64, Storrs, CT 06269. The registration deadline is May 31.
