UConn women's health conference at Foxwoods features Joyce Brothers (Released: 4/7/97)

STORRS, Conn. -- Joyce Brothers will be the featured speaker at the University of Connecticut's sixth annual Women's Health Update, "Emotional and Physical Health," from 3:30 - 7:30 p.m. April 16 at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard.
Brothers, the noted psychologist, columnist, author and business consultant, will provide the keynote address for the conference. She will also be available for questions from the media at 3 p.m. prompt.
The conference also will feature a panel discussion with Dr. Lila E. Nachtigall, a reproductive endocrinologist from New York University's School of Medicine who is an expert on estrogen and women's health, and Jane Kerstetter, associate professor of allied health and nutritional sciences at UConn, who is an expert on osteoporosis. The panel will be moderated by Willena K. Price, director of the University's African-American Cultural Center.
After dinner, Regina Barreca, a professor of English literature who specializes in feminist theory and humor, will entertain participants with a presentation titled, "Humor: It's Good for What Ails Ya."
Brothers, Nachtigall and Barreca will also be on hand to sell and sign their various books.
The Women's Heath Update is presented by the University of Connecticut School of Allied Health and the University of Connecticut Heath Center.
