CALENDAR ITEM: environmental scholars colloquium April 11 (Released: 3/25/97)

STORRS, Conn. -- John Wargo of the School of Forestry and Environmental Studies at Yale University will give a public lecture at the University of Connecticut as part of the Environmental Engineering Program's Spring 1997 Environmental Scholars Colloquium.

Wargo will speak on "Children and Pesticides: Fractured Law, Fractured Science, Broken Trust" at 2 p.m. April 11 in the Northeast Utilities Lecture Hall, Room 212 of the Francis L. Castleman Building.

The colloquium, sponsored by the Al Geib Distinguished Lecture Series Fund, is a semester-long series of seminars for undergraduate and graduate students of environmental science and environmental engineering that brings in experts from various fields relevant to environmental issues, including economics, policy, engineering and science.
