Broadcaster to speak on African-American role in South Africa (Released: 10/18/99)

STORRS, Conn. -- Gregory A. Pirio will be giving a lecture on Thursday, Oct. 21 at 12:30 p.m. on "The African-American as Liberator: U.S. Contribution to Modern South African History" at the Dodd Center in the Konover Auditorium at the University of Connecticut.
Pirio is the assistant director of business development at the International Broadcasting Bureau/Voice of America. This lecture is sponsored by The UConn-African National Congress
