STORRS, Conn. -- Daily weekday campus tour programs, designed to acquaint prospective students and their parents with the University of Connecticut's main campus, will be offered through Dec. 10.

The tours, which are conducted in groups, provide a general introduction to the University. Each program consists of an information session and a walking tour that takes the group through the Homer Babbidge Library, the chemistry building, the student recreation facility, and a residence hall. All tours are led by UConn students.

Tour programs are intended for high school juniors and seniors, their families and guests. Telephone registration is required.

Tours are offered Monday through Friday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Tours also are available on some weekends. People seeking dates and times for weekend tours, who wish to register, or who need more information should call the Office of Orientation Services at 860-486-4866.

There will be no tours offered during the Nov. 22-24 Thanksgiving recess or on Oct. 28-29 or Nov. 25-26.
