WATERBURY, CT — U.S. Congressman Chris Murphy (5th District) will hold a forum entitled “Western Connecticut Economic Development Summit,” on Monday, Sept. 24 at 9 a.m., on the University of Connecticut’s Waterbury campus.
The summit will consist of three panels that will address the future of manufacturing in Western Connecticut, expanding jobs through health care research and development and positioning Western Connecticut in the service industry.
Panelists will be comprised of experts from the University of Connecticut and the private sector.
Waterbury Mayor Michael J. Jarjura is slated to attend. Time will be allotted for questions from the public after each panel discussion.
