Bottled Water for Relief and Rescue Workers
The University faculty and staff are invited to join together to send bottles of
UConn water to the thousands of relief and rescue workers at the World Trade
Center disaster site. It is one way to let them know we are thinking of them.
The Salvation Army says they expect there will be an ongoing need for bottled
water for at least a month. The relief agency has volunteered to send a truck to the
campus to pick up the cases and transport them to New York City.
The Office of Communications has arranged with Gerry Weller, head of dining
services, to make the water available at-cost, which is $6/case.
